And it Begins! How to lose fat.

To begin with this soon-to-be-awesome blog, I'll start with a hot topic that everyone is (and should be) caring about. The topic is fat loss. How should we approach to this? Wich is the best and fastest way to get your dreamed body? Are starvation diets the way to go? All of this questions will be answered to you in this and the following posts!

1. Fat los made simple

The first thing you MUST know about fat loss is the "balance" principle:

To lose stored energy (fat) you should ingest less exogenous energy (food).

Your body will burn a established number of calories. You can use this online calcultor to find out your mainteance calories (http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm)

Now, in order to lose fat (the stored energy, remember?) you need to ingest less calories than you burn every day. I recomend to substract a safe number from you mainteance calories to start. For instance. I'm about 198lbs right now, and I instensely exercise 5 times a week. This means my mainteance calories are about 3000, in order to safely lose fat (without losing muscle) I need to eat about 2500 calories a day.

As the diet goes on, I'll eventually substract more calories to make the fat loss going.
